Advanced Wound Therapies Available

Our Live Oak clinic provides: sharp/surgical debridement (CPT 11042-11047) to remove necrotic tissue and biofilm; advanced wound dressings including foam, hydrocolloid, alginate, hydrogel, antimicrobial (silver, iodine, medical-grade honey), and contact layers; negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT, CPT 97605-97606) using wound VAC systems to reduce edema and stimulate granulation; cellular tissue products (CPT 15271-15278) including amniotic membrane allografts and bioengineered skin substitutes; platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy delivering autologous growth factors; ultrasonic mist therapy using low-frequency ultrasound to disrupt biofilm; compression therapy for venous ulcers including multi-layer wraps and graduated compression stockings; and offloading therapy including total contact casts and removable walker boots for diabetic foot ulcers. Most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Humana, TriCare, and CHAMPVA provide coverage when documentation supports medical necessity. We proudly serve military families and veterans, accepting TriCare and CHAMPVA with experience navigating VA community care referrals.
