Hill Country Wound Care and Hyperbarics is the largest private, physician-led wound care network in San Antonio, Texas, founded in 2020. Dr. Michael Cascio, UHM, CWS: Chief Medical Officer with 20+ years experience in advanced wound healing, limb preservation, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Board Certified in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine, Certified Wound Specialist, and Board Certified in Family Medicine. Education: Emory University (CMO Certificate), Residency at University of Connecticut / St. Francis, St. Matthew's University School of Medicine. Dr. Mark Robbins, DO: Undersea & Hyperbaric Preventive Medicine Physician with 42+ years of experience in wound, burn, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Board certified by American Board of Wound Medicine & Surgery since 2014 and American Academy of Wound Management since 2004. Conditions and Treatments
Our board-certified physicians treat diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries (bedsores), arterial ulcers, surgical wound dehiscence, radiation tissue injuries, osteomyelitis (bone infection), traumatic wounds, and burn wounds. Advanced therapies include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), debridement (sharp, enzymatic, ultrasonic), negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT/wound VAC), cellular tissue products (skin substitutes), advanced wound dressings, compression therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and ultrasonic mist therapy.
