About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients by delivering specialized wound care treatments and supporting their healing journey. You'll work directly alongside board-certified wound care physicians in a collaborative, patient-first environment across our three Greater San Antonio clinic locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical evaluation and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care management, prevention, and ongoing treatment.
- Perform and document wound assessments, procedures, and follow-up visits accurately in the medical record.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to positive patient outcomes within the wound care program.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with current state licensure.
- Experience in wound care, dermatology, surgery, or a related specialty preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
